1. Introduction The below chart will enable you to convert from thermistor resistance to degrees centigrade. This chart is applicable to all vibrating wire instruments that are supplied with thermistors
2. Conversion chart for resistance (Ohms) to temperature (Degrees Centigrade) To calculate temperature using a Soil Instruments thermistor you will the below chart to do so. The chart is based on the Steinhart-Hart equation and uses thermistor specific Steinhart-Hart coefficients to calculate temperature. If you are using a Soil Instruments thermistor with a datalogger also supplied by Soil Instruments the coefficients will already be input into the program and the temperature will already be calculated
